Our Team
Jennifer Smythe
is an immigration attorney at the Law Office of Gali Schaham Gordon. Her practice focuses primarily on U.S. employment and family-based immigration, including temporary nonimmigrant visas, permanent residence, and naturalization. Jennifer is routinely invited to speak at universities around the San Francisco Bay Area and has presented to corporate and immigration attorneys regarding visas for entrepreneurs.
Jennifer joined our firm as an associate attorney of counsel to the firm in January 2007, after serving as our paralegal for over two years. Her interest in immigration law developed during an internship at Legal Services for Children in San Francisco, California, where she assisted unaccompanied minors in obtaining Special Immigrant Juvenile Status. Jennifer earned a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California, with a Certificate of Specialization in Public Interest Law. During law school, she received the national Burton Award for Legal Achievement, an honor given to 15 law students nationwide who demonstrate excellence in legal writing. Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Education.
